Instructors:
Fred McCoy- has been a Police Officer for over 29 years and a Firearms Instructor for over 25 years, Certified by the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (Police Academy) as a Police Firearms Instructor and an Instructor for the Carry Concealed Deadly Weapons (CCDW) also certified by the N.R.A. as a Police Firearms Instructor. Having trained and certified hundreds of Police Officers as well as Civilians in the use of firearms he is one of Kentucky’s foremost weapon trainers and is ready and willing to share his experiences and expertise with law abiding civilians.
Shelia McCoy - has been a Elementary School Teaching assistant for over 17 years, She is also Certified by the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (Police Academy) as an Instructor for the Carry Concealed Deadly Weapons (CCDW)
Shelia teaches an all Women Gun Safety Class as well as the CCDW Certification Course.
Kentucky’s Carry Concealed Permit (CCDW)-
This is the training you must have in order that you may apply for your Kentucky Carry Concealed Permit. This course can just be the beginning, beyond this we also teach you real world shooting and gun handling skills.
With knowledge and skill comes a confidence and peace of mind that most people never experience in a dangerous world.
Woman’s Gun Training
This course is for the woman who has very little knowledge if any at all about the correct way to handle, load, shoot, clean and store a firearm safely.
The course will consist of classroom safety instruction and hands on firing of their handgun.
This class is limited to 20 students.
Advanced Tactical Firearms Training (CCDW)
Very high intense course
*Pre-requisite for this course:
1. Must have had CCDW Training*
2. Be a Police Officer or Correctional Officer*
The focus of the Advanced (CCDW) Tactical Firearms Training Course is the effective use of small arms in contact situations while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and safe operation.
This program is geared towards today’s gun owner and carrier who may be in a high risk environment and need to enhance their weapon handling skills.

The Advanced (CCDW) Tactical Firearms Training Course
teaches you how your weapon can be effective in all distances, operational environments and contact situations.
The intensive course structure starts with the basic skills modules which will teach safe weapon handling skills, then quickly moves onto the tactical phase which covers all immediate hands on drills.
The main focus of this course concentratrates on the dangerous point of the initial contact, to it’s safe resolution, using speed, instinctive accuracy, effective immediate hands on drills and withdrawing to safety.
In order to pass course you will take a written test as well as Shoot and Qualified on a Police Handgun Course. The tests will evaluate all your acquired skills enabling you to self assess in a high stress situation.
Equipment Needed
The students will provide their own handgun 38 caliber or larger, belt and holster, if semi auto at least two magazines, eye and ear protection, flashlight a minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition. (No re-loads)
This class is so intense it is limited to 12 students per class which guarantees personalized training on the most advanced tactics currently offered in the industry.
The advance weapons and tactics course was developed by Fred McCoy with many years of experience in some of the toughest situations imaginable, combined with an extensive training and teaching background, has formed a team of assistant instructors and a course plan that will meet your requirements for pursuing the training required to defend yourself, family or friends.
The course is designed to be taken in two six hour sessions to advance the student at a safe and predictable pace. The student will be pushed to excel to the level the course was designed to.
Civilian, Military and Law Enforcement will find this course challenging, full of valuable information and focused on saving your life and the life of your loved ones in time of severe peril.
Awareness, Training and Mindset are three most valuable assets in any potentially violent encounter. The advanced weapons and tactics course are focused on what you need to do when avoidance is not an option.
Night Shooting- Since violence can occur at any time of day, being able to use combat skills at night is extremely important. Night shooting skills are progressively taught, developed and stressed in the advanced class.

offers tactical firearms training to law enforcement and the general public. We understand each group’s special needs and we have catered each of our programs to reflect the optimal training techniques necessary to support those needs.
We have categorized our training into two major service areas:
Law Enforcement- Those courses open to law enforcement only.
Public- These courses are open to everybody. However excluding only a few techniques the Public will receive and qualify on the same course as Police Officers and other Law Enforcement agencies.
Tactical Baton Course –ASP Basic Certification and training teaches law enforcement officers as well as Civilian Tactical Baton fundamentals in an operational setting. The program provides portation (carrying) and (drawing) presentation procedures as well as striking techniques. This program is based on modern, court-defensible police standards for less lethal use of force.
